Semolina Bread

Here is another bread which I have baked a couple of times. This bread never fails you and is very easy to whip up. You add everything together, knead it, allow it to rise, bake it and you have a lovely sandwich loaf. This recipe calls for semolina flour, and since it is not available in Chennai, I decided to use the finest semolina available here. Even with this substitution the bread baked perfectly.
INGREDIENTS
Recipe source:Harini
Fine Semolina
3 ¼ cup(chiroti rava)
Instant Yeast
1tsp
Sugar
1tbsp
Salt
1 ½ tsp
Luke warm water
1 ½ cup
Olive oil
¼ cup

PREPARATION
Add the semolina, yeast, sugar, salt, water and oil to the bowl of the stand mixer. Mix well. Let it rest for 5 minutes
Now attach the dough hook of the mixer and knead the machine in ONE for 8 minutes
You will have fairly tacky dough
Transfer this to a well-oiled bowl, cover it loosely to double. Mine took 1 ½ hours.
Take it out and shape it into a loaf and nestle it into the prepared bread mould
Cover it and let it double again. This took another 1 hour for me
Now preheat the oven to 190C
Apply milk wash on the top
Bake the loaf for 35-40 minutes or till it starts to brown on the top
Transfer this to a cooling rack and unmould the bread
Let it cool completely
Slice it and serve it with a dip or make into a delicious sandwich
This is one of the easiest breads that I have baked

The oven rise is a sight to watch. Bake it to believe it
