Gobi- 65

Hi
How many times has this happened to you? We try to ban fried food from our home , citing health reasons, but sometimes we are not always lucky. Sometimes you just give in because your kid loves it so much and you , for some strange reason feel that maybe this particular dish may not be all that bad ,and one such moment was the reason for today's recipe
This is one of my daughter's favorites.Though i try to urge her not to have so much of fried food , sometimes i do give in:-)This dish is very easy to prepare and am sure will be loved by kids and sometimes by adults too:-)

INGREDIENTS

Cauliflower (cut into small florets) 1 cup

All purpose flour 1/4 cup

Corn flour 1/4 cup

Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp

Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

Red chilli powder 2 tsp

Ajinomoto a pinch (optional)

Orange red food colour a pinch( optional)

Salt to taste

Oil for deep frying

Please Modify the measurements according to the amount of florets being used

PREPARATION

Cut the cauliflower into small florets and boil it in water for 5 minutes.( Should not be overcooked). Drain it out and dry it well on a kitchen towel

In a bowl take the cauliflower and add the ginger garlic paste. Mix well

Now add all the other ingredients and mix thoroughly.Sprinkle a few drops of water on it and mix. If need be add very little water preferably in drops so that it does not get soggy. If for some reason it turns out soggy, don't panic just add more cornflower, Mix and continue:-)

Now heat the oil in a kadai and when it is ready add few florets and deep fry till done.Fry in small batches for even frying. Be careful not to hurt yourself or others around you while deep frying
