Tonight for my dinner, it is a simple healthy one
pot dish with broken wheat and loads of vegetables. As it is prepared in a
pressure cooker, the time to prepare this healthy dish is very less and nutritious
too. The vegetables used are completely based on individual taste. You can add

PREPARATION
Soak the dal in warm water for 30 minutes
Mix the tamarind paste in the given amount of water
and keep aside
Cut all the vegetables into small pieces preferably
evenly
Heat the oil in a pressure cooker. I have used a 3

Add the mustard seeds. Once it starts to splutter,
reduce the heat and add all cut vegetables, mix well.
Now add the tamarind water, broken wheat, soaked dal,
sambhar powder, Coriander powder , curry leaves, asafetida and salt.
Mix well
Close with the lid, put on weight on and cook on
high till 3 whistles.
Switch off the fire. Let the pressure cooker cool completely.
Open carefully, mix everything, serve warm with
appalam and raita of your choice
