Creamy Sprouted Moong Subzi




We have decided to stick with roti and subzi for dinner though we would love to have rice for lunch and dinner . Well! That is a madrasi in me talking . But our conscious decision to become fit, needed a change in our dietary routine and so it is a no no to rice atleast for dinner. Cooking an elaborate meal for dinner is not something that I would want to do and that is when the pressure cooker comes in as a boon and a quick subzi is ready within a few minutes
INGREDIENTS
Sprouted Moong Beans
1 cup
Onion
1
Tomato
2
Turmeric powder
1/8th tsp
Chilli powder
1 tsp
Coriander powder
1tsp
Cumin Powder
½ tsp
Garam Masala
1 tsp
Milk
¼ cup
Fresh cream
2tbsp
Oil
1tsp
Cumin seeds
1/ tsp
Salt
To Taste

PREPARATION
Cut the onions and tomatoes finely
Heat the oil in the pressure pan and add the cumin seeds. When it starts to sizzle ,reduce the fire to minimum, add the cut onions, tomatoes, moong sprouts
Now add all the dry powders and mix well
Pour 1 cup water, mix well and close with the lid and put the weight on
Cook in high upto 3 whistles
Let the pressure settle down fully
Add the milk and cream and mix well. Heat on low for 2 minutes
Switch off the fire
Serve warm with roti’s
