Sakkarai Pongal OPOS way

The craze of trying out the one pot one shot recipes seems to be more now. Today as it is Adi 18th, an auspicious day I thought I will try out the sakkarai Pongal in the pressure cooker without the usual hard ball consistency of the jiggery that we use. I had heard and seen people trying this out for a long time, but never had the conviction that it would come as perfectly as the regular method of cooking. Finally,  I did give in and here is the most simple method of trying out this fabulous dish
INGREDIENTS
Recipe Source: Rama Krishnan
Raw Rice
1/2 cup
Green gram dal
2 tbsp
Jaggery
1 cup
Water
11/2 cup
Milk
1/4 cup
Ghee
1/4 cup
Cashew
1/4 cup
Raisins
2tbsp

PREPARATION
Soak the rice and dal in enough water for 1 hour. Drain after an hour. Keep aside
In a 2 lt pressure cooker add all the ingredients

Cook at 600W for 15 minutes
Let the pressure release completely.
Then mash it well and serve warm
I added some fried cashew and raiains to decorate it before serving

Thank you Rama Krishnan. We all loved it
