Green Peas Masala In pressure cooker






Here is a very simple quick side dish for roti that you can cook in a pressure cooker without a compromise on taste and flavour
INGREDIENTS

Fresh green peas
1 cup
Onion

Tomato

Coriander powder
1tsp
Cumin powder
1 tsp
Garam masala
2 tsp
Red chilli powder
1 tsp
Cashew(Soaked in water for 10 minutes)

Garlic
 cloves
Turmeric powder
1/4 tsp
Oil
2tsp
Kasuri methi
1 tbsp
Corainder
1tbsp
Salt
To taste

PREPARATION
Cook the green peas till soft in a pressure cooker. I cook it in a vessel inside the pressure cooker. Add water to the base of the pressure cooker but do not add water to the peas. Close the lid and put the weight on. Pressures cook it for 2 whistles. Let the pressure settle down. Then take it out and keep aside
In a 2 lt pressure cooker, add 2 tsp oil and 3 tsp water to the base of the pressure cooker.
Next add the sliced onions
On this add the cut tomatoes
Now add all the dry masala powders, garlic and cashew except kasuri methi.
Close with the lid and put the weight on
Pressure cook it medium high flame for 2 whistles. Release the pressure manually (Be careful while doing it)
Now let the whole mixture cool completely
Transfer this mixture to the blender and blend it until smooth
Transfer this smooth tomato onion mixture to the pressure pan. Add the boiled peas and kasuri methi. Cook on very low flame for 2-3 minutes

Switch off the fire and serve warm with roti of your choice
