Dosa Waffle



Another avatar with the same idli batter is this waffle dosa. Make the idli/dosa batter into a waffle, the kids readily eat it but say a big no when offered as idli. If your kid is a fussy eater like mine, then try this simple variation
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE IDLI BATTER
INGREDIENTS
Par boiled rice/Idli rice
4 cups
Urad dal(white and whole)
1 cup
Fenugreek seeds
2 Tsp
Salt
To taste

INGREDIENTS TO MAKE DOSA WAFFLE
Dosa/Idli Batter
As required
Oil
To drizzle
PREPARATION
Soak rice with fenugreek seeds in a big bowl with lots of water for 3 hours
Soak the dal in enough water for 3 hrs
Grind the dal first in a wet grinder till smooth and fluffy
Take it out
Now grind the rice and fenugreek seeds with enough water till smooth
Combine the dal paste to this
Add the necessary salt, mix well and let it ferment overnight
Next morning mix the batter well.
Heat the waffle iron well
Spread oil over it
Now pour a ladle full of batter, close the lid and cook it till done.
Carefully remove it to a serving plate
Serve hot with doasi molaga podi and chutney
