Bombay Vegetable Grilled Sandwich

We liked all kind of sandwiched like open sandwich, stuffed with aloo curry and with fresh vegetables too. This particular sandwich is ultimate in terms of taste and flavour. If you have the masala powder ready getting the chutney ready and making the sandwich is breeze
INGREDIENTS

FOR THE SANDWICH MASALA
Cumin seeds
2tbsps
Cloves
1/2tsp
Cinnamon
1/2” piece
Peppercorns
1tsp
Black Salt
1tsp
Amchur powder
1/2 tsp
 
PREPARATION
Dry roast all the ingredients till good flavour is emanated. Cool it completely. Grind it into a smooth powder and store it in airtight box for further use
GREEN CHUTNEY
Mint Leaves
1 cup
Coriander
1 cup
Green chillies
3
Ginger
1/2” piece
Black Salt
1/4 tsp
Chaat masala
1/2 tsp
Lemon Juice
1 tsp
PREPARATION
Grind all the ingredients into a smooth paste with just enough water. Keep it refrigerated till further use
FOR THE SANDWICH
Sandwich bread
12 slices
Butter
4tbsp
Cucumber
2 (sliced)
Onion
1(Cut into thin rings)
Capsicum
1(cut into rings)
Tomato
2(sliced)
PREPARATION
Heat the grill pan
Apply butter to one side of the bread and on the other side apply the green chutney
Place the butter side on the grill pan
Now arrange all the vegetables in layers and sprinkle the masala powder on each layer
Finally apply green chutney to another slice, spread butter to the other side of this bread slice
Now place this bread, chutney side on the layered vegetables
Cook till the bottom begins to brown, pressing evenly.
Carefully flip over and grill the other side too.
Cut into two and serve warm with the green chutney
