Nellikai Thenga Pachadi

 Nellikai or gooseberry is rich in vitamin C and is advised to be consumed atleast once a week. This pachadi is an easy way to consume nellikai. Those of you who like to take it in as a pickle can check out the Easy Nellikai pickle as well
INGREDIENTS
Nellikai(Big Variety)
4
Coconut
1/2 cup
Green chillies
2
Curd
1/2 cup
Salt
 To taste
Oil
1tsp
Mustard seeds
1/2 tsp
Asafoetida
1/4 tsp
 
PREPARATION
Remove the seeds from the Nellikai and cut the flesh into small pieces
Transfer this nellikai, coconut, green chillies and salt to a mixer jar
Add some water and grind it into a smooth paste. Check for the consistency and add more water if necessary
Add curd and mix well
Transfer this to a serving dish
Heat oil in a small pan, and when sufficiently hot add mustard seeds and asafoetida. Once the mustard starts crackling pour this into the prepared pachadi.
