Paneer Spinach Balls

I look forward to this blogging marathon as I get to try out new recipes and family looks forward as they get to taste new dishes. For the first week of this BM#60, I will be blogging about finger foods. Now this is definitely a crowd pleaser both for the kids and adults alike. Even the kids who are a little fussy about eating spinach will definitely love to try this. Make this ahead and store them in the fridge, and fry them a little before the party and you are ready to stun your little guests. Here is the simple recipe for a very yummy snack.
Recipe source: Spicing your life
1/2 cup(Crumbled)
1/2 cup(Blanched)
1/2 cup(mashed)
Green chillies
1(Cut into very tiny bits)
Red chilli powder
1/4 tsp
Garam masala
1/2 tsp
Cumin powder
1/2 tsp
To taste

All Purpose Flour
Corn Flour
A pinch
Bread crumbs
1/2 cup or more

For deep frying

Wash the spinach leaves and blanch it. Press out the excess water with a kitchen towel or tissue paper and cut it into thin strips.
Wash the potato in water. Prick it all over with a fork. Place a kitchen towel on the turn table of the Microwave oven and cook it in MICRO HIGH MODE for 5 minutes. Now wrap it with the same kitchen towel and let it cool down completely. Later peel the skin and mash it well
Now crumble the paneer and transfer the paneer, spinach, potato, spice powders and salt to a bowl. Mix well. Make small balls and keep it aside
Meanwhile mix the all-purpose flour, corn flour, salt with just enough water to make a thin batter
Keep the bread crumbs ready
Now coat each ball in the batter and drop it into the bowl of bread crumbs and roll it so that it coats well on the whole surface.
Arrange all the balls made like this and freeze it for 30 minutes before deep frying
Deep fry in moderately hot oil till it is golden brown
Serve warm with some coriander mint paneer chutney!!!
Perfect finger food to please the crowds!!
