Onion thokku of Grand sweets. And if this can be prepared at home and that to
without much hassle then it is a double bonanza. So here is the simple yet
delicious thokku from my neighbour, friend Shymala. Thank you Shyamala
INGREDIENTS
Onions

Chilli
powder
|
3tsp
|
Jaggery
|
1/3cup
|
Tamarind
Paste
|
2Tbsp
|
Gingelly
oil
|
3tbsp
|
Asafoetida
|
1/4tsp
|
Fenugreek
powder
|
1/4tsp
|
Water
|
1
½ tbsp
|
In a small pressure
cooker, add the oil
Now add the grated
onion and all the other ingredients.
Close the pressure
cooker and cook in medium flame upto 4 whistles.
Let the pressure
subside fully.
Now open , mix it and
it is ready
If you feel there is
some water left behind,, then cook it for 2-3 minutes in open flame
Serve with some yummy
curd rice!!!
