Cream of Tomato Soup



Wishing all my readers a very happy 2016!!!Hopefully I blog continuously this year and to start with here is a simple yet most sought after soup. I am starting with a soup since my Niece to me that my blog does not feature many soups recipes. So Bhavya here is a simple recipe for you to try J
INGREDIENTS

Serves 2
Tomato(Medium sized)

Garlic
2 cloves
Ginger
1/2”
Bayleaf
1
Cinnamon
1/2”piece
Clove
1
Salt
As requires
Water
2 1/2cups
Pepper powder
1tsp
Corn flour
1tsp
Milk
1/4cup
Butter
1/2tbsp
Bread
few

PREPARATION
Add the tomatoes, garlic, ginger, beetroot, cinnamon, clove, bayleaf, salt and water in a pressure cooker and cook upto 3 whistles.
Once the pressure has released, open the lid of the cooker carefully and remove the cinnamon, clove and bayleaf and discard them
Grind the rest of the ingredients in a mixer. If you need a very smooth mixture, you can pass this through a sieve but I generally do not do it.
Now in a sauce pan add the butter and when it melts add the corn flour and saute till it just starts to turn brown. Now add the milk and whisk immediately so that it does not form lumps.
Now add the ground tomato paste to this, add more salt if necessary and let it just boil for a minute or two.

Switch off the fire. Transfer this to serving bowls, sprinkle pepper ppowder, top it with fresh cream and bread croutons and serve warm!!!
