Peas Masala Swirl Bread

I saw these rolls on Priya’s blog and decided that I would be baking these for my daughter. The only hitch was that my daughter does not like green peas at all. So boiled the peas, ground it coarsely ,prepared the masala and yummy bread was ready for her

PREPARATION
FOR THE BREAD
Mix the flour, yeast, sugar and salt in the bowl of the stand mixer
Put the dough hook on and add just enough water and knead it into a dough
Now add the oil and run the stand mixer in speed ONE for 7 minutes to get a very soft pliable dough
Transfer this to a well oiled bowl and cover it and let it rest for 1 hr or so for it to double
Meanwhile prepare the filling
Cook the peas .
Grind it coarsely
Cut the onions finely
Heat the oil in a pan and saute the onions till it becomes transparent
Now  add the ginger garlic paste and saute for 1 minute
Add the ground peas, turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala and salt
Mix well and cook for 1 minute in low flame
Let it cool completely

Take out the dough, punch down lightly, transfer this to a well floured board
Roll it into a rectangle ¼” in thickness
Spread the filling all over evenly
Start rolling from the longer side and form a log
Transfer this log to a baking tray lined with parchment paper
Cover it loosely and let it rise again. Mine took 40 mins to double
Preheat the oven to 190C
Apply milk wash to the surface
Make small slits across the top
Sprinkle white sesame seeds
Bake for 25-30 mins
Transfer this to a cooling rack
Cut slices when cool
