Instant Rava Upma Mix

Continuing with the theme of bookmarked recipes, this is a simple and a perfect instant mix which you can always have so that you can prepare upma in a jiffy. This is again a good option for travellers and for students who go to study abroad .
INGREDIENTS

Oil
6tbsp
Mustard
1tbsp
Black Gram Dal
1tbsp
Bengal Gram dal
1tbsp
Asafoetida
1tsp
Green chillies
8
Curry leaves
A handful
Peanuts
1/4cup
Turmeric powder
1/2tsp
Semolina
3cups


PREPARATION
Heat oil in a kadai and when sufficiently hot add the chopped green chillies and saute till it starts to discolour.
Next add the mustard seeds and once it starts to splutter add the black gram and Bengal gram dal and saute for a minute in medium flame
Now add the peanuts, asafoetida and then add the curry leaves and saute till the leaves become crisp
Now add the turmeric and semolina and saute for 2 minutes in low flame
Switch off the fire and add salt.
Mix well and store in a cool place
TO PREPARE THE UPMA
Add 1 ¾ cup of boiling water to 1 cup of semolina mix, cover and cook till done in a low flame.
