Apple Cinnamon Bread


Hi
Here is another bread for Bake-A-Thon and this time for a change it is a sweet bread . Well not exactly very sweet but mildy sweet. Have been drooling at this bread since Rajashri Posted this on Home Bakers Guild and finally after torturing her with many questions, here is my Apple bread

INGREDIENTS

All purpose flour
2Cups
Active Dry Yeast
1 1/2tsp
Sugar
2tsp
Salt
1tsp
Water
Nearly ¾ cup
Olive oil
1tbsp

FOR THE FILLING
Apple
2
Cinnamon powder
1tsp
Sugar
1/2cup

FOR THE TOPPING
Melted butter
1tbsp
Sugar
2tbsp


PREPARATION
Add yeast and sugar to ½ cup of luke warm water. Keep it in a warm place to froth up. Might taken 10-15 minutes
Add salt to the flour and mix well.
Now add the frothed up yeast and start kneading
You might require another ¼ cup of water too
Add oil and knead it into a pliable dough
Keep it covered in a warm place to double for nearly an hour
Meanwhile prepare the filling
Peel, core and grate the apples
Cook it along with sugar and cinnamon till there is no moisture. Let it cool
Once the dough has doubles, roll it into a rectangle ¼” thickness
Spread the filling all over one half of the rectangle
Fold over the other half on this
Transfer this to a tray with parchment paper
Cut it into even sized strip
Brush the strips with melted butter.Sprinkle sugar generously over this
Cover it with a kitchen towel and let it rise for another 15 minutes
Meanwhile Preheat the oven to 200C
Bake  for 20-15 minutes

Serve warm
