Paneer lababdar....does this name remind you of anything in particular? For some stranger reason she gets reminded of a Labrador-)..Anyway for this week of BM, I chose to go with the theme of North Indian Side dishes and paneer features most in our home under this category.I had bookmarked this recipe from Harini and here is the simple delicious side dish for a roti of your choice

INGREIDENTS

Tamalapaku
Paneer cubes 1 cup
Dhania seeds 1 tsp(roasted and crushed)
Red chillies 3(Roasted and crushed)
Kasuri Methi 1/2 tsp
Onions 1/2 cup
Tomato 1 1/2 cup
Ginger Garlic paste 1 12 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Tomato Puree 2tbsp
Milk 1/2 cup
Garam Masala 1tsp
Salt to taste
Oil 2 tsp
Cumin 1/2 tsp
PREPARATION
Chop the onions and tomatoes finely
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds. When the cumin starts to sizzle add the crushed coriander seeds, kasuri methi, and red chillies. Saute for a minute
Now add the onion and continue to saute in medium flame till it starts to brown'Now add the ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder and tomatoes, mix well and cook till the tomatoes become soft
Let it cool. Now blend it into a smooth paste
Transfer this to the pan along with the tomato puree and milk.
Let it boil in medium flame
Now add the garam masala and salt
Mix well and continue to cook for few minutes
Mix well, add the paneer cubes and let it simmer for few minutes in low flame
Serve hot with the roti of your choice
