Peas Masala




This is another rich gravy which can be easily cooked and loved by most of us. Tender peas in this rich tomato gravy is a perfect match with roti's

INGREDIENTS
Onions                                 2
Ginger garlic paste              1tsp
Tomato                                3
Green peas                           1/2 cup
Turmeric powder                 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder                        1 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder                 2 tsp
Garam masala                      1 1/2 tsp
Cashew nuts                          6-7
Cumin seeds                            1/2 tsp
Oil                                           1 tbsp
PREPARATION
Chop the onions finely
Cook the peas till soft
Soak the cashew in the milk for 15-20 minutes and grind it into a smooth paste
Heat oil in a pan and when it is sufficiently hot add the cumin seeds.
When cumin starts to sizzle add the finely cut onion and saute till it starts to brown
Now add the ginger garlic paste and continue to saute for another minute
Now add the tomato puree, mix well and continue to cook till the oil separates.
Now add the turmeric, chilli, coriander and cumin powder, mix well and saute for 2 minutes on a low flames
Now add the salt, garam masala and continue to cook
Add the cashew paste, mix well  and cook on a low flame
Now add the cooked  peas.Mix it well
Add 1/2 cup of water, mix well and let it simmer on a low flame for 3-4 minutes
Serve hot with naan or roti
