Kesar Nankhatai

 I have few of the nankhatai versions in this place but had not as yet baked these with the saffron flavour and this recipe is from Champa's blog.Here comes my entry for week 3 of Blogging marathon where i will be baking cookies.
Maida                    100 gms
Rava                      100 gms
Sugar                     100 gms
Ghee                      100 gms
Baking soda            1/4 tsp
Cardamom powder   1/2 tsp
Milk                          1tbsp
Saffron                      few strands
Soak the saffron strands in warm milk. Keep it aside
Powder the sugar after measuring it
Mix all the ingrdients and knead it into a dough. If necessary add little more milk
Preheat the oven to 150C
Pinch small balls from this dough, flatten a little and place it on a prepared tray a little away from each other
Bake for 30-35 minutes or till the sides start to brown
Let it cool on a wire rack.
Store them in air tight containers!!
