Kugelhopf-Eggfree

Hi
I have been lagging behind the bread baking for "We knead to bake" and when I told my daughter that I would be baking Kugelhopf(The bread to be bked for july)...she said Kugel WHAT????. Well! I did not know whether the"P" had to silent or the "F":-), so tried to make both silent, and when the reaction on hearing this seemed that of disapproval, I pronounced it in a way which I thought would be correct and expected an approving nod...instead I saw a familiar look--that of disapproval again or was it that she could not decipher???This remains a question and I dare not ask for an explanation:-).For some months now ,she has been trying to teach me simple words in German..have I learnt???Ofcourse yes..albeit just two words, Danke and Bitte:-)She tried to teach me the hopf part but gave up saying"Ma, I think you do a better job at baking...:-)", and I thus baked this kugelhopf/ gugelhopf...prefer to say..savoury bread!!!Kugelhopf is originally a sweet bread like brioche flavoured with raisins and almonds but we decided to go savoury with this bread. Here is the recipe for a simple savoury soft bread
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE DOUGH
All purpose flour                       3 cups- 31/2 cups
Instant Yeast                              2tsp
Salt                                            1tsp
Butter                                         8 tbsp
Milk                                           3/4 cup
Yogurt                                       4tbsp
FOR THE FILLING
Oil                                             1 tsp
Onion                                         1
Red, green and yellow pepper       half each
Cheddar cheese                           1/2 cup
Black pepper                               1 tsp
Chilli flakes                                 1 tsp
Dried thyme                                 1tsp
Pizza seasoning                            2tsp
Salt                                              1/2 tsp

PREPARATION
Put 3 cups of flour, yeast, salt and sugar in the food processor and pulse it for 1 minute
Now add the butter and pulse again
Now add the yogurt and run the processor. We see that it forms a crumb like texture
Now add the milk and run the processor for 1-2 minutes and you will have a sticky dough
Add some more flour now and pulse again and we get the perfect batter which is just short of stickiness.
Transfer this to a well oiled bowl, coveer it and let it rise for 1 hr
Meanwhile cut all the vegetables
Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan and saute the onion till it is transparent, take it out and keep aside
Now add the cut peppers and saute again till it is half cooked. It needs to be crispy
Add this to the sauteed onion. mix pepper powder, cubed cheese, chilli flakes, thyme to this.
Grease an 8" round pan
Once the dough has risen, deflate it,flatten the dough, spread the filling and fold the dough oven and knead again.
It will be very sticky at this stage, but do not add more dough, instead use a scrapper.
Roll it into a long to fit into the mould
Place it in the mould, pinch both ends, cover  and let it rise for 1 hr
Bake at 200 C for 25-30 minutes or till done
Transfer this to wire rack, let it cool.
Slice and serve!!!
