Thinai Upma - Foxtail Millet Upma

Having Cooked Thinai Payasam, I thought why not try upma with this wonder millet and I must say that the taste was awesome. The preparation is very similar to any upma that we cook.
Thinai /Foxtail Millet       1/2 cup
Water                             1 1/2 cup
Onion                              1
Tomato                            1
Carrot                               1
Green capsicum                1/2
Yellow capsicum               1/2
Ginger                               1/4 : piece
Green peas                        1/4 cup
Oil                                     2tsp
Mustard                             1/2 tsp
Black gram dhal                  1/2 tsp
Green chillies                       2
Curry leaves                         few
Coriander                            1 tbsp
Asafoetida                           1/4 tsp
Salt                                     to taste
Cut all the vegetables into small pieces
Slit the green chillies.
Heat oil in the pressure pan. Add the mustard seeds and when they start to splutter add the gram dhal and chillies and saute.
Now add the onion and once it starts to become transparent, sprinkle the asafoetida and saute it.
Now add all the other vegetables saute for 1 minute and add the cleaned Thinai.Mix well
Pour the required quantity of water, salt and coriander and curry leaves.Mix well
Close the pressure pan and cook upto 2 whistles
Serve warm
