These breadsticks look so cute..don't they???They are very tasty too..quite filling with a bowl of soup.Very simple to make as it is not yeasted...so no rising time:-)Try this , you will definitely like it.
All purpose flour 1 cup
Onion 1/2 cup
Cheddar cheese 1/4cup
Baking powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Pepper powder 1 tsp(optional)
Olive oil 2 tbsp
Seasonings your choice( I used Italian)
Preheat the oven to 180C
Grease the baking tray
Cut onions finely.
Grate the cheese and keep aside
Mix flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl.
Add onion and cheese to this and mix well
Now add the olive and mix again.
Add the necessary water to mix together to form dough and knead to form a soft pliable dough
Pinch small balls from this dough and shape it like fingers/sticks
Place them apart in the greased baking tray
Bake for 10m inutes, flip it to the other side and bake for further 10 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack and serve with a soup of your choice
