My daughter was scrolling my bookmark recipes and she said that she had decide on one particular recipe. I knew that it would be some kind of chocolaty thing..well !I was right as usual. She wanted me to bake these chocolate crinkles. As it was eggless, I readily agreed to it.(Did not feel like baking anything eggy:-( )
Whole wheat flour 1 cup+ 2 tbsp
All purpose flour 1/4 cup
Cocoa powder 2 tbsp
Baking powder 3/4 tsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
Sugar 3/4 cup
Ground flax seed powder 2 tbsp
Corn syrup/ Golden syrup 2 tbsp
Olive oil 1/3 tbsp
choco chips 1/2 cup
Milk 1/3 cup
Vanilla extract 1/4 tsp
Granulated sugar 1/3 cup
Powdered sugar 1/3 cup
Melt the chocochips and keep aside.( I microwaved it)
Sift whole wheat flour, all purpose flour, baking powder, cocoa and salt to gether. Keep it aside
Beat sugar, oil, flaxseed, vanilla, golden syrup, melted choco chips and milk together till everything mixes well together.
Fold in the the dry ingredients in two batches and mix well to form a soft dough. Keep this in the refrigerator for 10 mins
Preheat the oven to 180C
Lay a baking sheet on a baking tray
Take out the dough. Make small balls from this dough, flatten a little and first roll it on granulated sugar and then on the powdered sugar. Make sure it coats well
Similarly coat all the balls
Place them part i the tray
Bake for 15 minutes
Take it out and shift the cookies with the paper to a wire rack for it too cool. When it cool downs it hardens a little.
These cookies have excellent texture...A little crisp on outside, soft and chewy in the inside..According to my daughter...IT IS ULTIMATE!!!!!
