
Last day of week 1 of BM#5 and ICC for this month happened to coincide:-)This month Srivalli challenged us Pudachi Wadi from Archana's Blog.This is a specialty from Maharashtra.
INGREDIENTS

For the covering
Gram flour 1 cup
Whole wheat flour 1 cup
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Hot oil 2 tsp
Salt to taste
FOR THE FILLING
Dry coconut 1 cup
Coriander 2 cups
Poppy seeds 2 tsp
Ginger garlic chilli paste 2tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Paneer 1/2 cup(optional)
Lime juice 2 tsp
Salt to taste
For the Paste
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Oil - 1 tsp
Tamarind pulp - 2 tsp
PREPARATION
In a bowl mix all that under the covering onto a very soft dough. Let it rest for 1/2 hour
In a pan heat 2 tsp oil and saute the ginger garlic paste. To this add the coconut and saute for 2 minutes. Add the cut coriander, salt, chilli powder and saute. Finally add the paneer and mix well. Let it cool
Pinch small balls from the dough and roll it into 3" circle.
Apply the paste and keep the filling inside
Roll the circle and seal its edges
Fry in moderate hot oil till golden brown in colour
Drain. Serve warm with a chutney of your choice
