Stuffed Capsicum in Gravy

Today happens to be a very important day to me.This day the most important woman in my life celebrates her 75th birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yeah!!!!you guessed it right:-)YES IT IS MY MOM!!!!!This post is dedicated to the most wonderful person on earth who has faced life with courage, taught her young kids to face life bravely and is ever cheerful, unfazed by the challenges thrown by LIFE:-)
This recipe is her specialty and cooks this whenever she visits me because her grand daughter LOVES this!!!!!!!!!

Now to the recipe


INGREDIENTS

Onion 4(medium)

Capsicum /Bell pepper 2( preferably green)

Cashew nuts ( or peanuts) 1 tbsp

Garlic 1 pod(optional)

Sesame 2 tsp

Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

Chilli powder 1 tsp

Garam masala 1 tsp

Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp

Salt as per the taste

Oil 1 tbsp

Cilantro 1 tsp( finely chopped)

PREPARATION



Chop the onions.

Dry roast the cashew or the peanut till it turns light brown. Keep it aside.

Dry roast the sesame too till it starts crackling

Heat a pan with 1 tsp of oil. Saute the onions and garlic in it till it turns transparent.

Grind all these in a mixer with the turmeric, chilli powder and garam masala and salt into a fine paste

Cut the capsicum into two. Stuff it with the ground paste.

To the remaining paste add the required amount of water to make it into a gravy consistency

Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan and saute the cumin seeds.

Keep the stuffed capsicum in it and add the rest of the watery paste around it. Cover it with a lid and cook it in allow flame for 10 minutes.

Yummy ,awesome gravy ready to be served with a bread of your choice.

This cooks very fast and the preparation takes less then 10 minutes.
